Moldovan president conveys message on Flag Day

Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- Today President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu conveyed a message on Flag Day, the presidential press service has reported.

"The flag of the Republic of Moldova - celebrated every year on April 27 - unites us through the feeling of pride for being born on this earth. Our people of culture sang it with pride. Wearing the tricolor was an act of great courage and national pride. Still with pride, under the flag of the Republic of Moldova, our champions are conquering the world", the president said.

At the same time, the president said that in the years of independence, people united under the tricolor, by virtue of the love of freedom and for the future of children. "Let's preserve unity so that Moldova becomes an equal partner in the family of free European countries. Moldova is Europe - we are a peaceful people and we want to live at home in democracy and well-being. It is almost the day when our flag will be among the flags of the European Union states", Maia Sandu said.
