Moldovan speaker - flag reminds us of unity, in 2023 we must unite for our European path

Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu together with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean participated in a ceremony dedicated to State Flag Day, during which the flag was hoisted in front of the Government, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Also, at the beginning of today's plenary session, Grosu conveyed a congratulatory message on State Flag Day.
He referred to the meaning of this day: "Under this flag, Moldovans united to demand their right to language, history and independence. It is one of the first symbols of independent Moldova, which was adopted back in the USSR period".
Grosu emphasized the importance of this symbol of the state: "The flag reminds each of us of unity and 2023 is the year in which we must unite for our European path. Let's build a strong, free and European Moldova. With this historic flag, we will go into the future, in the EU".
