President gives details about European Political Community summit - event is investment in future of Moldova

Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu announced that on 1 June, our country will be the host of the European Political Community summit and will have the honor for the first time of receiving 50 heads of state and government and European officials in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district, the presidential press service has reported.

"The summit is an investment in the future of Moldova. It offers an exceptional opportunity to affirm our firm commitment to the reforms we are carrying out in order to become - in the near future - a member country of the European Union. We will demonstrate that we are a reliable partner, ready to actively contribute to the consolidation of unity and security on the European continent," the head of state said.

At the same time, Maia Sandu said that the presence of 50 European heads in our country clearly says that Moldova has numerous and powerful friends. "It is your merit, of all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, from home and from the diaspora that Europe is coming to our home," the head of state said.
