Moldovan MPs adopt draft law cutting number of members of National Office of Vine and Wine

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - The numerical composition of the Coordination Council of the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) has been changed. The lawmakers today adopted a draft law to this end.
Thus, the number of members will be cut from 15 to 13, through excluding from the Council the representative of the Finance Ministry and the one of the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry.
Another provision of the draft regards the way of regulation of the procedure of selecting the candidate for the position of director of the National Office of Vine and Wine. The candidate for the office of the ONVV director will be selected by a commission set up by the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA).
At the same time, the office of director will be able to be held by one and the same person not more than two mandates, with duration of four years, no matter their sequence. The ceasing before term of the mandate of the ONVV director will be made under an order by MAIA, with the positive notification by the Coordination Council.
