Emergency medical assistance teams of Moldova receive donation on behalf of USA, World Health Organization

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - The National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP) today received a donation of medical equipment on behalf of the U.S. Department of State and the Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Moldova.
According to CNAMUP, the medical devices will optimize the work of the medical staff. The consignment donated is made up of sensors for pulse oxymeters to measure the saturation of oxygen in blood, 285 intra-osseous infusion needles, used in case of major emergencies, in cardio-respiratory arrest and in the situation of a difficult resuscitation.
Also, 280 first-aid kits were delivered, which represent a string of basic medical equipment for emergency situations, medical consumables and needed medicines for providing quality medical assistance, stabilization of patients in serious condition or injured ones.
Also, CNAMUP received 50 de electrocardiographs to make ECG with their distance transmission and 10 lung ventilators for patients in critical condition, who need assisted breathing. For the first time ever, five portable ultrasound apparatus were received, which allow investigating patients with serious diseases and of the ones hit by accidents, with injuries of the abdomen, chest and other medical emergencies with major impact.
The medical equipment will be distributed to the emergency medical assistance teams from all over Moldova.
