Moldovan parliament speaker meets foreign affairs ministers of NB8 format

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with the foreign affairs ministers of the Nordic-Baltic Eight format (NB8), the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker thanked the delegation for the support provided to Moldova in the European integration process. Also, Igor Grosu referred to the commitments taken by the governance, among which the justice reform, legislation’s adjusting, as well as the improvement of the state’s institutions.    

„We expect a hard work; yet, we are not the first to go through this process and the countries of the NB8 format represent an example for us. This visit, which takes place one year after the parliament speakers of these countries came to Chisinau, is an extra proof that Moldova has reliable friends in our European integration process,’’ Speaker Igor Grosu stressed.

Nord-Baltic Eight (NB8) is a regional format of cooperation, which brings together eight states: Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania and Norway. Topical regional and international issues are within the competence of the forum.
