Forestry enterprises technically modernized with state's help

Chisinau, April 28 /MOLDPRES/- The state subsidized the forestry entities in the country with the necessary equipment, for the timely and efficient implementation of the plans for rehabilitation and expansion of the forest fund.

According to the Moldsilva Agency, starting from February and up to now, it has been equipped with high-performance equipment, specialized and adapted machines for the works in the forestry branch, some of them already being involved in the silvotechnical works at this time of the year. 

Institution's head Valeriu Caisîn said that these machines and technical units are necessary for the work of foresters, because they will be used for soil preparation works and the creation of forestry crops on the lands that are part of the National Forest Extension and Rehabilitation Program, as well as for the needs of the forest fund and forest nurseries. "The area of use of these technical units is diverse and fits perfectly into that segment of foresters' concerns, for which funding was requested for years and was resolved only with the government's assumption of the project for increasing forested areas", he said.

Investments of about 45 million lei (2.25 million euros) were made to cover the needs of the technical endowment of the territorial forestry entities within the Moldsilva Agency. 39 million lei were allocated from the state budget, and the forestry enterprises provided another six million lei from their own financial resources.
