Agenda of events in Moldova on European Night of Museums

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Ethnography and Natural History Museum (MNEIN) will open its doors for visitors on 13 May starting from 11:00 till 23:00, in the context of the International Day of the European Night of Museums.
Thus, a Fair of Craftsmen will take place at the museum during the day, in which artisans from all over Moldova will participate. At the same time, a painting exhibition by a pupil from the Chisinau-based Mihai Viteazul Theoretical Lyceum will be inaugurated at the same museum.
At the same time, the institution will organize the staging of an exhibition of rare pieces of the heritage of the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum, the Customs Service’s Museum and the Gallery of the Petru Costin collections of the Ialoveni district council. The exhibition represents homage paid to Petru Costin, at his 65th birthday anniversary, who is a passionate collector, holder of the Guinness record for the biggest collection of horseshoes in the world.
ÎA show for children from the repertoire of the Zambarele People’s Theatre will be presented on the MNEIN’s stage on the same day.
On 13 May afternoon, the museum’s visitors will be able to watch a show titled, The Confession of a Dacian, on the occasion of the 60th birthday anniversary of People’s Artist, head of the Stefan Voda Ensemble Tudor Ungureanu. At the concert, Ungureanu will sing songs at traditional national instruments.
The European Night of Museums at the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum will culminate with a concert given by the Polaroids of Her band.
