European Village: Copăceni culture house renovated

Chisinau, May 11 /MOLDPRES/- Culture house in Copăceni, Sângerei district, has been renovated. The government has invested over 2.7 million lei (135 thousand euros) through the European Village Program to carry out the works. So far, 110 projects out of the total of 496 approved for financing under the program have already been completed.

The new look of the House of Culture offers a modern and multifunctional platform for cultural, artistic and community events.

According to the National Office for Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), to date, 19 cultural centers have been rehabilitated through the European Village Program.

"In April, we managed to complete six more projects within the European Village Program, and today we are at the rate of 110 projects. And it's not just about the numbers. This actually means that students go to modern schools, that the inhabitants of our villages and towns have access to water and other essential services, that people walk on the street at night and feel safe", Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija said.

The European Village program includes 496 regional and local development projects and foresees investments of about two billion lei in 2022-2023.
