Romania approved Memorandum on strengthening gas and electricity networks interconnection with Moldova

Chisinau, May 18. /MOLDPRES/- The Government of Romania approved a memorandum on carrying out the projects necessary for the interconnection of natural gas and electricity networks with the Republic of Moldova.

"We have a project on the agenda through which we want to continue the support we give to the Republic of Moldova. We analyze and approve a memorandum by which we ensure the consolidation of interconnection with the Republic of Moldova on the gas and electricity networks. We appreciate that together with the money we have made available in the amount of 100 million euros, through these projects the aid that we give to the Republic of Moldova will also materialize", said Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciucă.

The Memorandum aims to approve the negotiation and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Romania and the Republic of Moldova on carrying out the projects necessary for the interconnection of natural gas and electricity networks.
