PHOTO Exhibition on fashion lifestyle in 20th century inaugurated at Chisinau-based museum

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - A collection exhibition, which displays clothes of the 20th century, gathered and preserved with care by curators, was inaugurated at the National History Museum of Moldova today.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the exhibition’s curator, Aurelia Cornețchi, said that, for the first time ever, over 200 samples of clothes, footwear and accessories had been exhibited, which have historical, artistic and memoir value. The clothes and footwear were worn by people who lived on this territory, all able to tell the story of the fashion and the social and personal life from great-grandfathers to great-grandsons.

According to Cornetchi, the exhibition comprises more modules, which highlight not only the clothes, but also the accessories, diverse household objects, different apparatus, all in order to present the age and its spirit.

The exhibition will be opened till 31 January 2024.
