Youth organizations can get grants from state

Chisinau, May 19 /MOLDPRES/- Youth organizations can get grants of up to 600 thousand lei (30 thousand euros) from the state. The grants program was launched today in Chisinau. Applications for participation in the competition can be submitted by July 17.

Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală said that this year a budget of 10 million lei was allocated to support projects, which is twice as much as last year.

Director of the National Agency for the Development of Youth Programs and Activities Ion Donea said that initiatives with a maximum budget of 200 thousand lei for local projects, 400 thousand lei for regional projects and 600 thousand for lei for national projects can be submitted to the competition.

Projects submitted to the Program must focus on a number of priorities, including the development of human and institutional capacities in the youth sector, the stimulation of the culture of civic and decision-making participation among young people, and the support of social innovation and community development projects.

The projects submitted for financing will have a maximum implementation duration of four months and must start no earlier than August 1 and end no later than November 30.
