Policemen to ensure good carrying out of European Moldova National Assembly

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - Employees of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) will ensure the good carrying out of the European Moldova National Assembly, due in Chisinau on 21 May. IGP head Viorel Cernauteanu made statements to this effect at a news conference today.  

The IGP leadership presented recommendations to the citizens, in order to ensure the good holding of the event. ‘’During the action, the participants will feel safe; the police will be with them. People are urged not to hold banned objects or assets and not to bear big handbags or knapsacks, which would create discomfort for the participants in the event. The day of Sunday represents an extra occasion for us to say that we want a European police – in a European Moldova,’’ Viorel Cernauteanu said.       

At the same time, the IGP head urged drivers to familiarize about the alternative routes, as several road segments from the centre of the Moldovan capital will be closed. Also, they are asked to comply with the requests of the patrol agents, who will guide and ease the road traffic.  

The European Moldova National Assembly will be held on the Great National Assembly Square from Chisinau on 21 May starting from 11:00.
