Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - Since Moldova has become country candidate of the European Union and this happened in last June, we received a list conditions which we must implement in Moldova, in order to start the negotiations on accession to EU. The report has been already submitted to the European Commission and in next autumn, the European Commission will give its opinion on the implementation of those nine conditions, formulated in the report. The co-chairwoman of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Ina Coseru, has made statements to this effect in an interview given with the AGERPRES Agency, quoted by MOLDPRES.

“We understand what the starting of the negotiations means; it means other funds for Moldova. Till then, we must do our homework; we understand that we had drawbacks in terms of justice, but we have also good signals. Ilan Shor was sentenced for 15 years of imprisonment, as this was a postponed file and nobody understood why this case lasted so much time. And now this group continues to get involved in the country’s political destabilization, as they want to remain in power and want to make the Chisinau governance change its way, in order to make the games of the Kremlin and the protests which we saw in Chisinau are not authentic, as the protesters receive money from organizers and are brought to Chisinau by buses in an organized way,’’ Coseru also said.

She noted that, at an initiative by President Maia Sandu, a National Assembly would be organized on the Great National Assembly Square from Chisinau on 21 May, where the citizens will confirm the wish of European integration.

The co-chairwoman of the Euronest PA invited the Diaspora from Romania, which is quite numerous, to participate in this national assembly. ‘’On 21 May, all citizens of Moldova should reconfirm the wish to integrate into the European Union and on 1 June, in one week, Moldova will host the next summit of the European Political Community, launched at an initiative by French President Emmanuel Macron and in which over 40 European leaders will take part. Moldova has never organized such events and we expect quite clear messages on behalf of the European leaders on subjects of major interest for our citizens,’’ Ina Coseru added.
