Moldovan parliament speaker says new Moldova-UNDP Country Programme meets priorities in process of accession to EU

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Chisinau Daniela Gasparikova. The discussions were focused on the Moldova-UNDP Country Programme for 2023-2027. The speaker said the Country Programme met the priorities of Moldova in the process of accession to the European Union, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
At the meeting, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu referred to the priorities on the parliament’s agenda, both till the end of June and for the autumn session, which will help Moldova advance on the European integration way. ‘UNDP is an important partner of our country in this respect, through the expertise and the visions of the country’s development,’’ Speaker Igor Grosu added.
Also, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu thanked for the support provided by UNDP to Moldova to manage the refugees’ crisis and ensure the energy resilience. Also, the parliament speaker touched upon the support provided also to other key sectors, among which the economic development, consolidation of the country’s capacities or transition to the green economy.
