Chisinau, June 21. /MOLDPRES/- The specific commercial margin for the retail sale of the main standard petroleum products for the second semester of 2023 has been increased by 0.17 lei and will be 3.08 lei per liter, compared to 2.91 lei per liter. The decision was approved today by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). The new commercial margin will be applied starting July 1.

More precisely, if currently a commercial margin of 2.91 lei is applied to the sale of a liter of COR 95 petrol or diesel, then, from July 1, this figure will increase by 0.17 lei and will be 3.08 lei.

Thus, for the second semester of 2023, the previous value of 2.91 lei/liter of the commercial margin was updated based on the consumer price index for the last six months (December 2022-May 2023), which represents 5.75% . Therefore, the maximum value of the basket of expenses and profit, which can be included in the retail prices of petroleum products, has increased by 0.17 lei/liter and represents a first update of its level since 2021.

The specific commercial margin for the retail sale of the main standard petroleum products includes all the expenses of market operators with the import and sale of petroleum products, such as: transport and insurance expenses to the territory of the Republic of Moldova (including the refinery margin), the expenses of handling and storage, all other expenses on the territory of the Republic of Moldova related to the retail sale of fuels (salaries, wear and tear of fixed assets, operational leasing, etc.), as well as any profit that can be obtained by the companies, under conditions of application of the principle of efficiency in activity.
