Spokesman for government says Moldova's authorities continue keeping close eye on events in Russia

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s authorities continue keeping a close eye on the events in Russia. The spokesman for the government, Daniel Voda, made statements to this effect today, in the context of the tense situation in Russia.
Daniel Voda stressed that the state institutions were in constant dialogue, including with Moldova’s partners.
„The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry has already issued a travel warning for the Moldovan citizens from Russia. We reiterate, on behalf of the cabinet, the recommendation to our citizens from Russia to call Moldova’s Embassy in Moscow, if needed,’’ the spokesman for the government said.
The Russian Counter-Terrorism Committee informed that it established anti-terror alert in Moscow and in the surrounding region, following the mutiny of the Wagner group of mercenaries. The head of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, on 23 June said that he had entered Russia with his troops, in order to overthrow the military leadership.
In a speech, the Kremlin leader, Vladimir Putin, accused the ‘traitors’’ of the Russian nation and promised to punish them.
