Retirement age for women changes in Moldova as of 1 July 2023

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The standard age for providing old age pensions to women is 60 years and six months starting from today and the full length of service is 33 years and six months.
At the same time, the retirement age remains unchanged for men and is 63 years and the length of service – 34 years; the concerned conditions were established on 1 July 2019.
Under the provisions of the law, the reduction of the standard retirement age is provided to the women who gave birth to and educated five and more children till the age of 8 years. The retirement age for these women is diminished by three years and is 57 years and six months starting from 1 July 2023.
According to the National Social Insurances House (CNAS), the old age pension is established for lifetime starting from the date when the conditions of retirement are met, if the application and the acts needed are submitted on a period of 90 days after this date. If the term of submitting the application was exceeded, the pension is provided starting the date when the last necessary act is presented. The term of consideration is 60 days after date when the application was submitted with all acts needed.
