Pre-Vetting Commission: non-judge candidate for CSM Vanu Jereghi withdrew from competition

Chisinau, July 13. /MOLDPRES/- The Pre-Vetting Commission announced today that Vanu Jereghi, candidate for the position of member of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM), withdrew from the contest. Thus, he did not pass the evaluation.

The Commission's decision was sent to the candidate and the Parliament, the institution responsible for organizing the contest in this case, and the information on the evaluation result was published on the Commission's website. If the candidate does not notify the Commission that he opposes the publication of the decision within 48 hours, the decision will be placed on website, in a depersonalized form. The decision can be appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice within 5 days from the date of receipt.

Vanu Jereghi is part of the second group of nine non-judge candidates nominated by the Parliament for the position of member of the CSM. The eight candidates remaining in the competition are to be heard by the Pre-Vetting Commission on July 14-21.
