Moldovan PM meets local public authorities, decentralized services of Dondușeni

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- The opportunities for development of localities, the modernization of road and social infrastructure, via the strategic goal of integrating our country into the European Union were the issues addressed at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and local public authorities and deconcentrated services of Dondușeni district, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
In the discussion with the mayors, the official approached the need to strengthen the efforts of public authorities at all levels, to speed up the country's modernization. Recean referred to the prioritization of projects to renovate hospitals and educational institutions, the development of road infrastructure and the digitization of public services.
"Our main goal is to join the European Union. It is our only path to a prosperous future. We must build Europe at home, modernize schools, hospitals, build roads, through joint efforts with our development partners. The issues we must have on the agenda are the citizens' problems", said Recean.
Recean urged local representatives to use the opportunities of the European Village Program and to consider the advantages of the voluntary amalgamation of localities.
The mayors addressed the problems, including the need to subsidize diesel for farmers who work old orchards, speeding up the repair of Soroca-Otaci road, amendment to the Regulation on selective delimitation of immovable property - public property.
