About 45 employees of Russian Embassy along with families leaving Moldova today

Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- About 45 employees of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau, members of their families as well as technical staff, are leaving the territory of our country today with an aircraft.

The MAEIE press service has reported that almost 100 people had until August 15 to leave the territory of the Republic of Moldova. They will leave on a charter flight scheduled to take off at 9:00 AM.

Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set that from August 15, 2023, the number of diplomatic positions at the Embassy of the Russian Federation will be reduced. The decision aims to equalize the number of diplomatic staff with that of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation. Currently, the Russian Embassy has about 70 employees.
