Retirement age for women changed as of today

Chisinau, July 1 /MOLDPRES/- As of today, the age for granting old-age pension for women is 61, and the full contribution period - 34 years. For men, the retirement age remains unchanged - 63 years, and the contribution period - 34 years, the conditions have been set from July 1, 2019.
Head of the Information and Communication Department of the National Social Insurance House (CNAS) Petru Socolan said that the reduced standard retirement age is granted to women who have given birth and educated up to the age of 8 five and more children. For them, the retirement age is reduced by 3 years and will be 58.
"The old-age pension is determined for life from the date of fulfillment of the retirement conditions, if the application and the necessary documents have been submitted within 90 days from that date. In cases where the time limit for submitting the application has been exceeded, the pension is granted from the date of submission of the last required document. The deadline for examination is 60 days from the date of submission of the application with all the necessary documents," said Petru Socolan.
Applications for old-age pensions can be submitted online by the holders of electronic/mobile signature by accessing www.cnas.gov.md.
