Chisinau, July 2 /MOLDPRES/- Head of the International Police Cooperation Directorate Viorel Tentiu remains under arrest for another 30 days. The magistrates of Chisinau Court, Ciocana district, today partially accepted the prosecutors' request to extend the preventive measure - house arrest for 30 days.
On June 6, Viorel Țentiu was under arrest for 30 days on charges of passive bribery. The decision was taken by the magistrates of the Chisinau Court, Ciocana.
On June 4 this year, four people were detained following several searches carried out as part of a joint investigation between the Republic of Moldova and the French Republic into an alleged corruption scheme in which officials from Moldova and other countries allegedly received bribes to interfere with INTERPOL's publication of Red Notices for criminals wanted internationally.
