Moldovan electoral body accredits over 100 observers for monitoring this autumn elections

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission today accredited national and international observers for the monitoring of the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum due on 20 October 2024.

Thus, CEC accredited 96 people on behalf of the Promo-LEX Public Association and five persons on behalf of the public association, ADEPT Association for Participatory Democracy.

Seven persons were accredited on behalf of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO) as international observers.

The people accredited as observers will carry out their work in the conditions of Moldova’s legislation.

The elections for the office of Moldova’s president will be held on 20 October 2024. The republican constitutional referendum will be organized on the same day. The citizens will have to answer the question: ‘’Do you support the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
