Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - Any pressures aimed at preventing Moldova from edifying its own destiny are unacceptable. European Commission President-elect Jean-Claude Juncker made a statement to this effect at a meeting with the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, (PLDM), Vlad Filat, in Brussels today.
According to a PLDM press release, the dialogue was focused on the political situation in Moldova ahead of the parliamentary elections due on 30 November, evolutions in the regional context and the pressures made from abroad to influence the European integration of Moldova.
