More Moldovan electoral contenders submit financial reports to electoral body

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/- More electoral contenders submitted financial reports for 10-23 October 2014 to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
According
to reports posted on the CEC’s webpage,, most money was spent on the above-mentioned period by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party
(PDM). PLDM spent 9.49 million lei, and PDM – 9.26
million lei. The money came from donations of private people and the largest
part was distributed for advertising.
The Liberal
Reformist Party follows the list of parties with the highest expenses. It
reported payments amounting to 2.8 million lei, and the Party of Socialists - 1.8 million lei. Under the report by the Party of Communists, its expenses
reached about 800,000 lei on 10-23 October. The Popular Party spent 216,000 lei, Alegerea
Moldovei-Uniunea Vamala (Moldova's Choice - Customs Union) Electoral Bloc – about 64,000 lei and Antimafia Popular
Movement – over 38,000 lei.
The
National Liberal Party spent the least money – 2,400 lei; the Christian
Democratic People’s Party – 2,000 lei and the Communist Reformist Party – 50 lei.
The Renastere (Revival) Party and Liberal Party showed zero returns and expenses. The
Forta Poporului (People's Force) Party, Democratia Acasa (Democracy at Home) Party and Patria (Motherland) Party failed to
present any financial reports for the time being.
