USA provides Moldovan Interior Ministry with donation to combat cyber crimes

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Government of the United States on 29 October donated modern specialised equipment and programs worth over 1.6 million lei to the Interior Ministry's Centre for Combating Cyber Crimes.

According to a press release by the police, the donated programs and equipment will be used by investigations officers in combating cyber crimes, detecting signs of committing crimes in the cyberspace, gathering digital evidence and storing data due to be subjected to technical expertise.

"The U.S. Government has made significant contributions to the development of technical skills and capabilities of detection and discovery of crimes committed by using information technologies", says the press release.
