European Parliament to ratify Moldova-EU Association Agreement in November

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- The European Parliament will ratify the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU on 13 November. The leader of the Party of European Socialists (PES), Sergei Stanishev, made the statement at a today's a news conference, held jointly with the leader of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu.
Stanishev said the Association Agreement represented at essential success for Moldova's European path. "I am impressed that Moldova's European integration is promising, and the country has much more impressive results than other states of the region," he said.
Marian Lupu pointed out that one of the messages of the officials was supporting Moldova's European integration.
The Association Agreement between Moldova and EU was signed on 27 June. The Moldovan parliament ratified it on 2 July, - a procedure that must be fulfilled by the parliaments of all the EU member states. Among the countries that have ratified the document so far, there are Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Malta and Slovakia.
