Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has taken notice of a decision announced by the leadership of the Russian Migration Service, according to which the mechanism of exit from/entry into Russia's territory for Moldovans, who exceeded the stay period on the territory of the concerned state, set by the Russian legislation, was changed, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's (MAEIE) information and media communication service has reported.
In the context, MAEIE specifies that, when this decision was announced, the Moldovan authorities were not informed officially about the new rules and their period of their enforcement. Taking into consideration the fact that the respective provisions, once confirmed officially, will affect all Moldovans who reside on Russia's territory, the Moldovan embassy in Moscow addressed, through diplomatic channels, a request on clarifying the provisions of the Russian legislation, under which the new mechanism would be implemented, as well as if it is extended on Moldovan citizens who were banned from entering Russia till 5 November 2014, when the entrance into force of the new mechanism was announced.
Moldovans who are under the action of these changes are recommended to follow the press releases issued by MAEIE on the juridical norms that will be applied by Russia on exit from/entry to this state.
