Moldovan cabinet approves national strategy on youth development

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today approved the National Strategy on Youth Development 2020 and the action plan on its implementation.

The strategy's goal is „to develop and foster youth sector for the next 6 years and contribute to create an appropriate environment for the private and professional life of each young man/woman, including of those from groups with poor possibilities”. 

In this respect, the authorities are set to contribute to increase the level of involvement of young people in consolidating the participatory democracy, building-up knowledge and behaviour necessary to successfully integrate young people in society, developing entrepreneurial and employment opportunities among youngsters, developing infrastructure of youth sector and support mechanisms, in order to ensure the quality of the work of young people. 

Among the actions, which are to be implemented, are: adopting a new law on youth, setting-up the Agency for Accreditation and Ensuring Quality of Services for Young People, organising mentor programmes for young entrepreneurs, adopting policies on boosting employment of graduates.
