Moldovan, Romanian border guards analyse situation at frontier

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/- Cigarette smuggling, illegal migration, traffic in stolen transport means and documentary fraud are the main threats at the Moldovan-Romanian border, the frontier authorities of both states have said.

These and other issues of common interest represented the working agenda of the delegations of the Moldovan Border Police Department and Romanian Border Police Inspectorate General, which assembled in Chisinau today.

The sides assessed the situation at the Moldovan-Romanian They reiterated that the main measures for optimising the cooperation must be focused on setting risk areas in different areas of crime, as well as informing about events registered at the common border.

The police officials also discussed matters on the traffic flow at border checkpoints by reducing the time for control.
