Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry takes over Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation Business Council presidency

Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova took over the presidency of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation (BSEC) Business Council during the BSEC Business Council Board of Directors meeting which takes place in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece today.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Vladimir Didilica said that the Moldovan CCI presidency's priorities were increasing the activity of BSEC in promoting export potential by diversifying exports geography and increasing competitiveness of products from BSEC states, both on the markets of member countries, and on third markets. To this effect, Moldova aims to develop and promote national brands from BSEC member countries as a tool to stimulate exports.
Another important topic on the agenda of CCI Moldova's presidency to BSEC is the vocational education and adapting curricula to the labour market needs. Thus, together with the secretariat general of the organisation, the officials will organise a round table on the topic of vocational education and entrepreneurship, the medium-term objective being opening a regional centre of excellence in this field in Chisinau.
The CCI vice president invited BSEC partners to participate with an information stand at the events within the Made in Moldova National Exhibition, and the Brand of the Year awards ceremony as well as other events to be held in late January 2015.
The Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation (BSEC) Business Council was established on 30 August 1992 and became operational on 1 May 1993. It holds an observer status within the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation starting December 1992 and primarily acts to identify and promote investment cooperation projects in the area through financial institutions and other international organisations.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova took over the rotating presidency from Greece, being in office in the first half of 2015.
