Moldovan speaker attends tree planting actions

November /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Igor Corman today attended along with a
group of employees of the parliament tree planting actions organized on the
occasion of the National Green Day, the parliament’s communication and public
relations department has reported.
The parliament’s leadership and employees planted about 6,000 oak trees on a land of 1.1 hectares that belongs to the Loganesti forestry from Hincesti district.
Corman urged the citizens to join the regeneration of vegetation, take care of green spaces and to contribute to improving the environmental quality.
“I believe that such actions are important and I hope as many as possible citizens participate in forest regeneration from Moldova. It is needed we take care of environment and keep in mind that the future generations must enjoy these resources”, Corman said.
According to a presidential decree, since 2011 the National Green Day takes place on the last Saturday of October. This year, because of the bad weather conditions, the events were postponed a few weeks.
