Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CC), on 18 November, rejected as inadmissible the notifications submitted by the faction of the Party of Communists (PCRM) and Socialist MPs Igor Dodon and Ion Ceban on 17 November.
PCRM notification referred to the possibility for the dismissed members of the government, by motion of corruption, to further serve as ministers and their right to be elected as MPs. Lawmakers Igor Dodon and Ion Ceban submitted a notification regarding the organising of polling stations abroad.
Under the court's decision, the first notification was rejected „as the invoked norms do not need interpretation”. The ruling on declining the second one was reasoned by the fact that „it regarded problems also related to the opportunity, which are not in the competence of the Constitutional Court”.
CC examined the admissibility of the above-mentioned notifications as priority, taking into account the possible impact on the electoral process.
