Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- Society’s voice has become much more critical and heard during the last years. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca made the statement at a public debate today.
Leanca also said that as compared to 2010, “the society and state institutions were grown up”. “I am sure we could find in this period certain formulas and interdependence and communication tools between the civil society and government. I do not claim that this formula is perfect, I do not claim that the influence of the civil society on the decision-making process is already perfect, but, at least unlike the period before 2009, the civil society and government are no longer two parallel worlds”, he said.
Leanca also added that the government was interested in the opinions of experts from the civil society, as well as in common analysis of certain issues and identification of solutions. “Separately, we will never be able to advance”, he pointed out. Referring to the 30 November polls, the premier noted he would like this election be a competition of ideas.
Expert Igor Botan stressed that in terms of legislation, most important things offering instruments for control over the power exist. Yet, the great problem is society and its active elements “which failed to learn to use these instruments”.
