Moldovan Travel Agency launches national brand of tourism industry

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/- The Travel Agency in partnership with the sectorial associations, via the USAID CEDD II project, today launched a programme titled: "National brand of tourism industry".
The programme represents a set of tourism initiatives, among which, analysis of target markets and competitive tourism products, position of national tourist offer, promotion of tourist destinations from Moldova etc.
"Tourism in Moldova has chances to become strategic branch of national economy, on condition of launching a reanimation programme of this field. We have to overcome the stereotype that we have nothing to show tourists and to highlight everything that represents us better", agency's director Nicolae Platon said.
At the same time, new logo to promote tourism in Moldova was presented today. The logo is accompanied by the slogan "Discover the routes of life".
US Ambassador to Chisinau William Moser said that the tourism industry in Moldova is progressing and we have to focus on tasty food, quality wines, traditions and culture, as well as beautiful places in the country.
The logo will be launched at international level on 24 November 2014, on Euronews channel. Annually, Moldova is visited by about 2 million foreigners.
