More Moldovan settlements face power outages due to heavy rains

Chisinau,21 November /MOLDPRES/ - Five settlements from four districts still face power shortages because of the past days heavy rains, the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service (SPCSE) has reported.

Residents from two settlements of the Singerei district, by a village from Cahul and Ialoveni districts and Chisinau municipality are to be reconnected to the electricity by the specialised teams. In whole, over 17 settlements from 8 districts have been cut from power.

Because of the unfavourable weather conditions, SPCSE employees were involved in pumping up water from basements of blocks of flats and private households. Firemen intervened in Hincesti, Straseni, Causeni districts and Chisinau.

In whole , 36 special cars, 140 SPCSE employees were involved in liquidating the consequences of the emergencies.
