Moldovan foreign ministry makes specifications on Russian migration service's announcement

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/- Given numerous appeals by citizens on so-called “amnesty” by the Russian Federal Migration Service of Moldovans who exceeded the limit of stay in this country and want to come back to Moldova on 5-30 November 2014, as well as additionally to a press release by the Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) from 6 November 2014, the ministry’s communication and media relations service says:
- So far, the Russian authorities, following requests by the Moldovan side, have not provided official information, which would confirm the setting of new rules and the period of their enforcement.
- In this context, MAEIE suggests that the citizens, who intend to take into account the Russian authorities' announcement from 5 November 2014, consult thoroughly legislation in force of Russia in this respect.
- At the same time, we ascertain that more cases of applying restrictions on Moldovans’ entry into Russia have been recorded in the past days.
MAEIE will continue communicating with the Russian side, in order to clarify the situation and will provide additional information.
