Moldovan PM conveys message of sympathy on death of two firemen

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Iurie Leanca has conveyed a message of sympathy on the death of two firemen during a devastating fire extinguishing in the central Telenesti town. The message is addressed to families, relatives, friends, colleagues and all those who have known them, the government' s communication and media relations department has reported.
"In these difficult moments for the families of the victims, who sacrificed their lives while on duty, I express sympathy and solidarity. I deeply regret their death; they are true heroes, who fulfilled their mission with dignity. I express sympathy on my own behalf, as well as on behalf of the entire government," the message says.
Two firemen, aged of 21 and 24, died while extinguishing a big fire in Telenesti today morning, and the third 35-year-old fireman was injured. The latter was the head of the intervention team.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service, the flames have broken out in a store on the Dacia street from Telenesti. The firemen were alerted at 03:30. Five special vehicles intervened to extinguish the fire. For the time being, the exact reasons for the fire are unknown, with the circumstances due to be investigated.
