Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Court of Appeal today ruled to cancel the registration of the Patria political party as electoral contender.
The decision may be contested at the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ). The Court of Appeal took the decision following a request addressed by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), which, on 26 November, proposed to annul the decision on registration of candidates to the MP seats of the above-mentioned party.
The CEC’s proposal was made following the consideration of a notification by the General Police Inspectorate, which says that the Patria party used foreign financial means during the electoral campaign for the 30 November parliamentary polls.
The first on list of the party’s candidates is Renato Usatii.
