Moldovan parliamentary elections considered valid

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - The turnout at the polling stations exceeded the election validation threshold by 15:30, reaching 39.21 per cent.
According to Central Electoral Commission Chairman Ciocan, the most active voters were those in Soldanesti – 45 per cent, Ocnita – 44 per cent. The lowest turnout was recorded in Basarabeasca - 30.84 per cent.
"In the capital, as well as in Balti, the voting process was more active, the average rate exceeding the one in rural areas", said Ciocan.
A number of 24 candidates, of which 19 political parties, one electoral bloc and four independent contenders, participate in the elections today.
