Moldovan foreign ministry informs about new changes in crossing Ukrainian state border

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs that the Ukrainian authorities have introduced new changes regarding the entry/exit to/from Ukraine, the MAEIE information and media communication service has reported.
Thus, the foreigners entering Ukraine via the regions where anti-terrorist operations take place (some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions), may stay on their territory only on condition that they cross the state border in the functional checkpoints, with applying of stamps in the travel documents.
The foreigners and stateless people who will not observe the legislation on entry to/exit from Ukraine, as well as the stay in the zone of anti-terror operations will be sanctioned, according to the Ukrainian legislation in force.
At the same time, in line with the decisions of Ukraine’s government, the crossing of more Russian-Ukrainian state border checkpoints, among which: Uspenka – Matveev Kurgan, Novoazovsk – Veselo-Voznesenka road checkpoints, Kvashino – Uspenskaya and Ilovaisk railway checkpoints, as well as the Donetsk and Luhansk airport checkpoints, was ceased.
The Ukrainian authorities have also informed that, given that the infrastructure of the border checkpoints was destroyed and their staff forcibly removed, respectively their work was ceased, the stamps applied by the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service are regarded invalid as concerns the crossing of the state border via the following checkpoints:
- Starting from 5 June 2014, Dolzhanski, Marinovka, Chervonopartizansk road checkpoints and Krasnaya Mogila railway checkpoint;
- Starting from 23 June 2014, Izvarino road checkpoint;
- Starting from 1 August 2014, Krasnaya Talovka road checkpoint;
- Staring from 11 August 2014, Novoazovsk, Uspenka road checkpoints, Kvashino and Ilovaysk railway checkpoints, as well as Donetsk and Luhansk airport checkpoints.
