„Good morning,
Those who have been temporarily relieved from duties, welcome back.
We are at the first meeting after the 30 November elections. In this context, I want to thank all the citizens of Moldova for the fact that they went to the polling stations and fulfilled their civic duty by expressing their stance on the future of Moldova.
I thank those who supported the European course of our country, for which all of us have declared, proceeding from the idea that there is no alternative to this path, if we are set to build a functional and prosperous state.
And for those who decided to stay at home, those who remained disappointed and thus showed their protest, I think I can only say one thing: their message was understood, although of course this requires additional analysis, conclusions are needed, but , in general, the message, dear colleagues, is very clear - that the reforms can no longer be postponed, because such a vote shall not take place again, we, as a country, will not have another chance like this!
The conclusion we can draw, at least for now, is that we either carry out reforms, or we will be gone in the next elections and the country will lose yet another chance called European integration.
This is not a result that makes me happy, but this result shows me that the pro-European forces and the country have a chance.
One last chance to start fighting corruption – at the most painful and highest level. One last chance to reform the justice system! One last chance to prove that the European institutions did not rely on pro-European forces, which advocated integration as the only way to modernise Moldova, in vain!
And all this, dear citizens, is done so that your life changes for the better, had fewer shortages, for you to have salaries and pensions that provide you the living conditions you need. Let us take the necessary steps, so that, in two or three years, the situation in the country was absolutely different from the situation we have now.
Thank you!”
