Moldovan emergencies service to receive new special vehicles

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/- The Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service will be endowed with 27 modern special vehicles. To buy them, Moldova will borrow 6 million euros from an Austrian bank. The government approved a draft law on ratification of an export credit agreement today.
Also, the government okayed a draft law ratifying a loan agreement between Moldova and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), that will allow restructuring the railway infrastructure in Moldova and purchasing more new locomotives. EBRD will provide 52.2 million euros to this end.
Another 7 million euros will be offered by EBRD to restore the Balti-based thermal power system. The cabinet also approved a draft law ratifying the financing agreement to implement the draft.
The three drafts are to be considered and approved by the parliament.
