Moldovan electoral body processes 99.04 per cent of reports

Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today informed that the Party of Socialists (PSRM) had picked up 20.66 per cent of the votes, following the processing of 99.04 per cent of reports. The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) got 20.05 per cent of the ballots.
According to CEC's data, the Party of Communists (PCRM) grabbed 17.62 per cent of the votes, Democratic Party (PDM) - 15.88 per cent, and Liberal Party (PL) - 9.6 per cent of the ballots.
The preliminary results shows that the other contenders did not meet the electoral threshold to make it to the parliament. On 5 December, CEC will unveil a report on summing up the results of the 30 November polls.
