Poland ratifies Moldova-EU Association Agreement

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/- The Polish parliament unanimously ratified the Moldova-EU Association Agreement on 5 December.
Polish Speaker Radoslaw Sikorski said that the 30 November elections in Moldova had been won by the pro-European parties and wished success to Moldova in rapprochment with the EU.
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Tomasz Orlowski said Moldova had successfully carried out reforms and needed an additional signal from the EU assuring it that "its future is a European one".
In late November, other two countries, Sweden and Hungary, ratified the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. Thus, so far, the document has been ratified by ten EU member states:Romania, Latvia, Malta, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden and Poland.
The EU-Moldova Association Agreement was signed on 27 June 2014 and was ratified by the parliament on 2 July, procedure that must be carried out by all EU member states.
