Moldovan Court of Accounts marks 20th anniversary

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Court of Accounts (CCRM), the supreme audit institution in Moldova and the only public authority that monitors the management of public money and state property, marks the 20th anniversary of its foundation today.
According to a press release by CCRM, since its establishment on 8 December 1994, and till now, the Court has covered a long way in terms of development and transformation, from a control institution to a supreme audit institution, by taking over experience and best practices within international organisations in the field, by aligning to international standards, through implementing international institutional development projects and signing international cooperation agreements with counterpart institutions from abroad.
A Cooperation Agreement between the Court of Accounts and the Swedish National Audit Office was signed in 2012, and an action plan on the implementation of joint activities for 2013-2014 was signed on the next year, in the context of the enforcement of a cooperation agreement between the Romanian and Moldovan Courts of Accounts. The Court of Accounts joined the Board of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) this year.
