Italy has new military attache in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/- Italian Ambassador to Chisinau Enrico Nunziata introduced new military attache of Italy to Moldova, brigadier Salvatore Esposito, at a meeting with the leadership of the Defence Ministry and National Army today.
Defence Minister Valeriu Troenco congratulated Esposito on the occasion of his appointment. Troenco expressed confidence, that during his mandate, the military cooperation relations would develop in an ascendant way.
The defence minister noted that Italy had constantly supported the process of reform of the defence institution, actively contributing to achieving the strategic goal of the Moldovan army to participate in international peacekeeping operations. "The logistic assistance provided by Italy within the KFOR mission deserves our gratitude. I appreciate the effort and personal involvement of Mr. ambassador Nunziata and colonel Giovanni Cazzorla, who made possible the National Army's participation in such an operation", Troenco said.
For his part, Nunziata said Moldova could rely on Italy's support in its European integration path. At the same time, the official appreciated the service of the Moldovan military deployed within Task Force of the Italian KFOR mission.
The new military attache of Italy to Moldova has degree in strategic researches, international and diplomatic sciences, as well as in civil engineering. Salvatore Esposito held various positions in the military staff of the Italian Army and participated in international missions, among which KFOR.
The Moldovan-Italian military cooperation was initiated in 2006.
