Moldovan PM meets UN official, Ukrainian ambassador upon completion of missions

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Iurie Leanca met Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova Nicola Harrington-Buhay and Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Serhiy Pirozhkov who completed their missions to Moldova, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister noted the dedication of Her Excellency Nicola Harrington-Buhay in carrying out her mandate as UNDP Resident Representative in Moldova. "Thank you not only for fulfilling your mission, but for doing by putting life into it. Your insistence in studying the Romanian language proves your interest in this nation. You have become a part of our society," said Iurie Leanca, wishing her further success and achievements.
The sides discussed the UNDP projects carried out in Moldova, as well as those that would contribute to enhancing the level of welfare and modernisation of Moldova. Nicola Harrington-Buhay said the United Nations Development Programme would always support Moldova.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca talked about strengthening the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations today, during his meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador Serhiy Pirozhkov.
Serhiy Pirozhkov was recalled from the office of ambassador to Moldova under a decree signed by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in last October. The ambassador started his mission in Chisinau in 2007.
