Moldovan government to announce resignation

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - The mandate of the government led by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca has ended after the Constitutional Court validated the results of the 30 November parliamentary elections on 9 December. The draft on government's resignation is included in the agenda of a today cabinet meeting.
After it is to approved by the government, the statement of resignation will be submitted to the parliament, which is to convene at a meeting till 30 December.
Under the legal provisions, the cabinet-in-office will fulfill only its public affairs duties till the members of the new government are sworn in office.
According to the Moldovan Constitution, the cabinet exercises its mandate till the date when the parliamentary polls are validated.
